Nomination Committee

Soon nominations will be meeting to fill those positions whose terms are up in 2010. In last month’s newsletter, I highlighted children’s education coordinator, Sunday school teachers, the flower team, and kitchen crew. Listed below are a few more opportunities for you to serve.

Camping Coordinator: camping season starts early to recruit campers in early March. There are various camps at Camp Asbury & Camp Findley for kids grades 1 thru 12. Camp begins late June and runs thru mid –August. Your enthusiasm and love of kids is required.

Underground Helpers: An after-school program for teens in grades 6 thru 12. It is open three days a week, Tues., thru Thurs. from 3 to 6 pm. They follow the B-B calendar for holidays, ½ days and snow days. Kids walk or are dropped off from the school bus.

Staff-Parish Relations team: This group deals with the relationship of the pastor & congregation. It is their charge to set the salaries of the paid staff as well as hiring new people. The committee meetsmonthly on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 7 pm. 

Trustees: Meets monthly on the 3rd Tues. of the month at 7 pm. This group is charged with keeping up the church, church property, parsonage, and rental house (repairs & purchases). We have 7 men and 3 women serving on this team.

   As you read a brief description of some of the committees in this church, I am hoping some of you may be thinking “Hey I would like to do that!” and will talk to any of those on the Nominations team which consists of: Pastor Matt, Doris Mundell, Helen Freitag, Fred Dunham, Tod MacIntyre, Sandra Parry, Gene Lowe and Karen Janas.

   Let us know where you would like to serve; it will make our job easier.
