We are launching a new ministry at Bergen UMC – The Mom Community, or The MomCo, by MOPs international. If you are a mom, or mom adjacent, then you may recognize the MOPs name, or have been involved in a MOPs group in the past. MOPs International celebrated 50 years in 2023, and have reimagined their brand to The Mom Community to truly reflect how their community encompasses moms at every stage of their journey.
We will be holding our MomCo Meetups every other week on Mondays, from 9:45am to 11:45am, following the Byron-Bergen Central School calendar year. We will have childcare available, and we have the KidsCo curriculum available for school-age kids who attend with their mom.
Fall 2024 Theme “Wild Hope”
“We’re declaring this the year of new things. A new season needs a new strategy, and we
choose wild, contagious hope. Hope is not a passive exercise in wishing; it’s an active approach to living life engaged. Hope is generative. In Proverbs 13:12 we read, “Hope deferred makes the
heart sick, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.” Hope provides clarity, vision and vitality.
God is about to do something new, do you sense it? A new season of hope is rising
and it’s starting right here, with the kid-raisers, the dust-shakers, and the
rule-breakers who are willing to do to the impossible in the name of Jesus. May
our homes and the world be changed because we choose to live with Wild Hope.”
