“Bergen Totality Rocks!”
On April 8, 2024 Bergen experienced a total solar eclipse for the first time since 1925! It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and true to life in Western NY we had thick cloud cover across the area. But God is good despite all of our earthly plans, and we had 28 people attend our watch party in the gloom and sprinkling rain. We did experience the darkness of totality, and the awesomeness of God’s creation was displayed by the sunset effect in the east and the west with beautiful oranges, reds, and pinks! Thanks to God for his glorious creation, and all the volunteers whose time, talents, and presence made the watch party possible.
